You cannot perform on empty so let’s start the summer with an intention to recharge, reset, and reconnect to what your body needs most to reach your peak when it matters.

For some, this workshop will be the perfect nudge to work on an area of weakness over the summer and for others it will be the permission slip that you need to pull training back in specific areas so that you can toe the starting line strong and confident when it counts at your A races this fall.

You cannot perform your best on empty so let’s start the summer with an intention to recharge, reset, and reconnect to what your body needs most to perform your best when it matters.

For some, this workshop will be the perfect nudge to work on an area of weakness over the summer and for others it will be the permission slip that you need to pull training back in specific areas so that you are ready to perform at your very best when it counts at your A races this fall.

In this summer planning workshop, we will dive into:

1) Your unique physiology as a female bodied runner and specific training tips to help you work with your body instead of fighting against it. How you train, cross train, and recover looks different than male-bodied athletes. We will cover tips and tricks to tune in and trust your own specific training, fueling, and recovery needs.

2) Key Strength Training Exercises and Drills that Dr. Nancy often sees missing, misunderstood, or skipped in female bodied distance runners. She believes these exercises are essential in optimizing bone health and running fast.

3) Time to plan your summer training so that it fits into a summer full of the things that you love.

About The Speaker:

Dr. Nancy Boyd (she/her) is the owner and founder of Ancoeur Wellness Ann Arbor, a Doctor of Physical Therapy, a running coach, and a former DI cross country and track and field athlete. She has advanced training in pelvic health, sports medicine, obstetrics, and female exercise physiology, which has allowed her to specialize in working with female-bodied athletes struggling with pelvic health concerns and recurrent overuse injuries, as well as providing performance-based care during life’s many transitions, especially during the perinatal window. She is eating disorder-informed and travels the state giving eating disorder prevention talks to professionals, coaches, and athletes. She is on a mission to help all athletes develop tools to become the strongest, most confident versions of themselves and find success in their sport of choice for years to come. Nancy practices what she preaches and is a mother runner and mover who soaks up time with her husband, toddler, and friends at local coffee shops and out on the trails.
